I studied painting at the School of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
For 35 years, I worked as an international travel writer and photographer
for newspapers and magazines. Many of my painting ideas came from
places I photographed during my travels.

The process of painting is fascinating, requiring the organization of shapes,
colors, tones, and designs. Usually many layers of oil paint have achieved
the final.
